Migration from ISDN to central SIP trunk with Microsoft Teams Phone

Customer requirement

A company wanted to replace its local telephone lines and ISDN technology and migrate to a centralized SIP trunk with Microsoft Teams Phone. The solution needed to be highly available and support existing telephone systems in parallel.

Challenge

In addition to the parallel use of Microsoft Teams and the existing Unify OpenScape infrastructure, uninterrupted operation was crucial. The configuration of the Teams Voice environment had to be completely rebuilt.

SPIRIT/21 solution

SPIRIT/21 developed a centralized SIP trunk architecture with direct routing, number assignment and routing logic via SBCs. All number formats were consistently adopted so that users did not notice any changes in handling.
