Challenges in the management of master data in the SAP system

The customer has more than five ERP systems in use on five continents. The configuration models are complex and multi-levelled.
The new system should enable centralised maintenance of the product master data, which can then be distributed to the systems and locations in the same way as the configuration objects (product relocation).

Implementation of the SAP project

After several workshops to analyse the project structure, the SPIRIT/21 solution was implemented in SAP.
Classes, characteristics, relationships, parts lists and routings were created. In order to secure the solution for future developments, it is largely based on SAP standards.
