Customer requirement

A company in the field of product development requires a central platform for collecting and displaying purchasing data. Until now, information on products and components has been maintained in separate Excel spreadsheets for each department. The lack of coordination leads to a high coordination effort, delays, and a longer time-to-market. The goal is to automatically link data, make it available company-wide, and significantly speed up decision-making.

Challenge

As part of a cross-departmental digitization project, we are faced with the task of consolidating fragmented data sources from various business functions, including development, purchasing, and quality assurance. Until now, the data has been maintained manually in Excel spreadsheets and automatically recorded via various systems, which has led to inconsistencies and outdated information. The lack of transparency regarding components, their status in the development process, and the traceability of changes is particularly challenging. There was no central database that provided a holistic view of the product lifecycle.

SPIRIT/21 solution

SPIRIT/21 develops high-performance dashboards that anchor business logic specifically in the backend, thus offering an optimal user experience. Data imports are (partially) automated, and the platform is continuously maintained and supported as part of a support model.
