MDM PLUS C

Better protect for mobile device users against the dangers of distraction

We live and work in turbulent times. Mobile devices have become indispensable - both in our private and professional lives. Regardless of the industry, business processes are being digitalized, workflows automated and consistently shifted to smartphones, tablets, notebooks and their apps. This is because mobile solutions help to optimize workflows - not only in offices, but also in working environments that do not require a desk at all: in production, on construction sites, in warehouses and wherever heavy equipment is used, for example to control production facilities, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery or hazardous goods transporters.

Today, the “workplace” is exactly where tasks are performed using any end device - no matter where and when. For IT, this means “security first”. Many service providers have therefore specialized in providing complex mobile device management (MDM) solutions that focus on security and not only protect against data loss and malware, but also manage mobile devices and applications in accordance with guidelines and secure access to company data in the best possible way. However, only very few go one step further and add the human factor to their solutions.

Mobile, secure and contextual

One of these is SPIRIT/21. Together with its partners TRUCE Software and Jamf, SPIRIT/21 provides contextual mobility management solutions specifically for the “deskless workforce”. Behind this are intelligent UEM solutions that build on traditional MDM concepts but add an additional layer of security. CMDM (Contextual Mobile Device Management) makes it possible to adapt the provision of mobile applications to the respective working environment - securely, dynamically and automatically. This means that in zones that require increased attention, only the applications that are actually needed to complete the respective task are made available. All other, non-relevant apps and functions are hidden until the defined area is left again. The decisive advantage: employees are less distracted when using their mobile devices and are therefore better protected against hazards, accidents and injuries in the workplace.

CMDM adds an additional dimension to traditional MDM solutions. Whereas previously the focus was primarily on technical and organizational aspects, the question of how teams and organizations can be protected by intelligent IT solutions when using mobile devices is now taking center stage. Find out from SPIRIT/21 and Jamf at the digital event “New Working World” on 11.11.2021 which solutions are particularly suitable for the “deskless workforce” and how mobile working environments can be created on-demand in industry, retail and healthcare.
