Successful SAP rollout in over 35 countries with SPIRIT/21

Customer requirement

A globally active industrial customer planned the integration of all European subsidiaries into a central SAP system. The aim was to implement standardized business processes - especially in accounting and the supply chain - while taking country-specific requirements into account.

Challenge

18 countries were already productively connected, which meant that ongoing operations could not be impaired. In addition, the close integration with parallel projects required a project start at short notice. The introduction was to be carried out according to a strictly standardized template - with minimal deviations.

SPIRIT/21 solution

SPIRIT/21 took over the complete management of the rollout. A central project manager acted as the single point of contact. The project teams were completely provided by SPIRIT/21 and carried out the introduction of all relevant processes in finance, controlling, sales, materials management, production and customer service. In-house developments were replaced by standardized SAP processes.
