The Architecture - Predefined Extensible Virtual Data Models

The content is accessed via virtual data models (VDMs), which are based on physical tables. In this multi-layered virtual data model, the tables are combined via “Joins and Associations” by so-called ABAP Core Data Service (CDS) views, which can be modeled as required.

Unified role-based user experience with SAP Fiori

S/4HANA offers a variety of tools and Fiori templates for embedded analytics. Depending on the user group – end users, power users or IT experts – the appropriate tool or template can be selected from this standard offer. Certain functions such as personalization, filtering, data export or “report-to-report” navigation can always be executed in the same way under a user-friendly interface. The “embedded analytics” reports are displayed on the Fiori Launchpad as an SAP Fiori app.
